Dr. Limin Hu is the Co-Founder, EVP, and CTO at Ellie Mae, Inc. Dr. Hu started his career with IBM’s T. J. Watson and Almaden Research Centers. At IBM, he developed advanced technologies in networking, systems architecture, multimedia software, and database management. In 1994, Limin became a vice president and general manager for Teknekron Corporation, a large systems development company in Silicon Valley. After Teknekron, he started several entrepreneur ventures including co-founding Ellie Mae in 1997. Today, Ellie Mae, Inc. (NYSE: ELLI) is a leading provider of on-demand SaaS automation solutions for the mortgage industry, processing more than 20% of the mortgage loans in the United States. Ellie Mae went public in 2011, and is the top stock performer on the NYSE in 2012. As a co-founder of Ellie Mae, Dr. Hu was involved not only in technology innovation, development and operations, but he also participated the complete cycles of starting up, raising VC funds, growing the company, and taking it public. Dr. Hu is well recognized in his efforts in fundraising, designing, and building a FCSN Dream Center for Friends of Children with Special Needs, a nonprofit organization with more than 100 employees. He currently serves on the boards of FCSN and Monte Jade Science and Technology Association.Dr. Hu received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
